Progressive Group encompasses three engineering companies based in Hamilton, New Zealand, who specialise in design, manufacture and marketing of complex hydraulic industrial and mobile systems. With an in-house design office, Progressive Group provides total solutions to a variety of clients in the energy, wood, plastics, recycling, construction and entertainment industries throughout New Zealand and off shore. Progressive Group has a strong commitment to sustainability and lean manufacturing and has been operating zero waste workshops for almost 10 years. Progressive Group have designed and manufactured several of its own cutting edge products, which adhere to the philosophy “Simply Elegant – Elegantly Simple”. Design focuses on simple, low maintenance and energy efficient products. These products include the WoodWeta wood hogger, Katipo tilthitch and excavator pattern changer. Several exciting new products are being developed currently. The following companies make up Progressive Group: Progressive Hydraulics Established in 1992, Progressive Hydraulics has provided design, manufacture and service of hydraulic solutions mainly for the energy & forestry sector. Progressive Hydraulics previously manufactured forestry felling & processing heads and grapples, but now focuses on WoodWeta, Katipo and pattern changer manufacture.Progressive Hydraulics is an agent for EATON products Aeroquip and Walvoil. Progressive Machining Originally called Exact Engineering, this company was purchased by Progressive Group in 2002, to provide fitting and turning capability for the group. Progressive Machining specializes in complex one-off, prototype items for Progressive Hydraulics and other market leading clients. Progressive Equipment Progressive Equipment was established in 1998 to develop, design and sell products for the Progressive Group. With a team of two full time Design Engineers, Progressive Equipment uses SolidWorks 2011 Premium Edition to design systems and parts for clients, as well as exciting new products for Progressive Group. |
